The beginning...
Welcome to Casa Estrella, my piece of paradise in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. I made my first trip 15 years ago after hearing about Playa from a friend. When I first saw the turquoise blue water and white sand, I was hooked. Playa also has a cool vibe due to the number of Europeans who travel there and who live in Playa year round. I knew that this way my kind of town.
For the next three years, I travelled to Playa numerous times. On each visit, I met others who had purchased homes. I quickly realized that I also wanted a piece of paradise. I wanted a home in Playa Del Carmen to call my own! Hey, we can all dream the dream, right?
A star is born…
On February 4, 1998, I purchased my home in Playa. Now I need to give my new place a name. While sitting in the living room one night, I was looking up toward the ceiling and saw all of the stars outside the large windows. The view was incredible. I decided to name my house, “Casa Estrella” (Star House).
A star is re-born…
In August 2005, I decided to totally remodel in the house. I put new marble floors throughout the house with new granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms. The house was totally gutted except for interior walls. The terrace off the master bedroom was doubled in size and a huge Jacuzzi tub was added in the master bathroom. A 47” flat panel TV was added along with new furniture throughout. Of course, the house has AC throughout. The house has all of the amenities to ensure a very comfortable stay. I love to entertain and find Casa Estrella the perfect house. There is also a huge shared pool and Palapa area for parties, complete with bathrooms and free Wifi. If you want the beautiful beach, it’s just a short 5-7 minute walk from the house. Just pack the cooler and the beach chairs and you’re ready to go!
Casa Estrella has 3 bedrooms, each with a full bathroom. On the first floor, you will find the living room, dining room and kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances including a microwave, blender, toaster and gas oven. There is also one guest bedroom on the first floor with a Queen size bed and patio. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one with a King bed and the other Queen size bed. The master suite includes a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower. There is a large patio off the master bedroom with chairs and umbrella. The patio overlooks the golf course, fountain and tropical foliage. You will also find a covered patio off the dining room with seating for 6 plus a gas grill.
Maid service is provided every second day and fresh bottled water is included. There is also a bi-lingual property manager that can arrange transportation, tours or any other special requests.
